Anthony Nolan Charity event
On Saturday 19th August the Jersey Petanque Club hosted the Anthony Nolan Charity event. It was the eighth year that the event has taken place at the Club and was organised by Kathie and Dave Burt who lost their own daughter to leukaemia at the age of 22 months.
There were two games played as a melee separated by tea and home made cakes.
After the games there was a tie for first place, so a play off decided the winner.
The result was:
1st Mike Ritzema
2nd John Dyer
3rd Marion Ashplant.
The Susan Burt Memorial Trophy was presented to the winner.
A total of £620 was raised.
